School Counseling Services
Counselors are essential educators and mental health professionals in the school system. We are growing graduates by teaching educational, career, personal, and social development at all ages!
Personalized Counseling continues for students! Remember, this year I'm meeting with each student through individual meetings. This is a special time for students to tell me about themselves, their strengths, and their goals for the future.
Great 8 Skills for Daily Living: Goal-Directed Behavior
A child's initiation of, and persistence in completing, tasks of varying difficulty.
Goal-Directed Behavior Classroom Guidance
Student "I can" Statements:
- Keep trying when unsuccessful
- Take steps to achieve goals
- Try to do her/his best
- Seek out additional knowledge or information
- Take an active role in learning
- Do things independently
- Ask to take on additional work or responsibilities
- Show creativity in completing a task
- Seek out challenging tasks
- Work hard on projects
Great 8 Skills at Home
No Place for Hate
This quarter students participated in a school wide lesson about recognizing their own uniqueness. Each classroom read the book, "One" by Kathryn Otoshi and signed the Resolution of Respect. Parents are welcome to sign the Resolution of Respect as well that is located in the front foyer.

Humble Middle School
December 3, 2021 - 5th Grade students visit HMS 9:00 - 11:00
January 2022-5th Grade students will preview the HMS elective videos during community time.
Tuesday, January 25, 2022- Rising 6th Graders Parent Night from 5:30-6:30 pm at HMS.
Tuesday, February 1, 2022-Middle School Course Selection Day. HMS counselors will come to WPE to assist students with their course selection using Naviance.
Friday, February 25, 2022 -Last day for 6th Grade Course Selection
