Ninth Graders will complete Prep Day activities and then be assigned to rooms to join different groups for camp activities. Freshman Camp is an opportunity to learn about preparing for the first week of school and being successful at Health Careers High School. Upperclassmen mentors will be on hand to assist students with lockers, planning and other team building.

ATTENTION ALL ATHLETES!
Any athlete planning to tryout for Swim, Tennis or Cross Country must have completed a physical on the NISD Physical Form prior to tryouts. Please use the following link to access proper paperwork.

Cross Country will begin Captains practice on July 25 @7:00am at OP Schnabel Park. Meet by the basketball courts. Official practice will begin August 8th at 6:30am at HCHS. You should be in ore-season mode running for mileage. You must be able to run 3 miles without stopping on Monday August 8th. August 8th-10th All grades must attend all 3 days of tryouts. Boys 4:00-6:30, Girls 6:00-8:30. Tryouts will be held at the Northside Tennis Center in Helotes. Contact Coach Luna with questions/concern @ firstname.lastname@example.org
The Office of District 8 Councilman Manny Pelaez Hosting a 2022 Back to School Bash
The annual Back to School Bash will be on Saturday, August 6 at Pre-K 4 SA North (3635 Medical Dr.) from 9 AM to noon.
In addition to giving away backpacks and supplies, we will also have a limited number of bike helmets for kids this year.
Families can also expect free dental screenings (no appointment necessary), no-cost COVID-19 vaccines and boosters (ages 6 months and older), and vaccines required for 7th graders and college students.
The San Antonio Food Bank will also be handing out free snack packs.
As usual, we’ll have fun and games, a DJ, and treats.
Additionally, on Tuesday, August 26 at the Igo Library. We will be hosting a free CPR and stop the bleed class for neighbors.
