#TheSmellOfSpring
We rocked 8th grade testing! Thank you to everyone who counted waters, packed snack bags, wrote notes, printed testing tickets, filled buckets, monitored halls, covered for breaks, supported classes: We did it!
We have 6th and 7th grade beginning on Monday and we will need that same intense focus and teamwork!
#KidsDeserveIt
- SMILE! Be Happy! #BeELITEInYour20SquareFeet! Be intentional! You set the tone for your day by radiating positive energy and body language! Relationships trump EVERYTHING else. Scholars don't learn from people they don't like! You can have ELITE level expectations and still build relationships that impact!
- Summer Experience begins June 3rd, Information is coming on times and planning days. Thank you to everyone who said they can support our scholars during this ELITE time! Stay tuned for more information!
- Hallway Bulletin Boards: Please make sure they are current and not empty.
- All Lesson Designs need to be turned into the book for feedback. Thank you for turning in your plans. Please review your learning targets. Is there a KNOW and a DO? What do your OPENINGS (HOOKS) look like? What are you doing with your formative assessment data? Testing time is important: but all learning time is valued! Make sure your classes are still providing relevant, engaging, FUN learning experiences!
- ALL CLASSROOMS: need the standard and learning target posted on your boards.
- Dress Code: Please make sure all attire is professional, even on jeans days.
- BREAK continues on Thursdays.
- Please take time to review your TKES in the platform. Next rounds are beginning. Several folks have areas, not green checked. Please take a look. TEACHERS: please make sure you have checked off on your mid-year plans!
- STAFF: If you are going to be out, you must let me know. You can do that by text or email. No exceptions. Also, if you need to leave campus early, you must let me know via text or email. Please follow these basic guidelines
- STAFF: If you have something you want to communicate to the whole staff, please email me and we will work through that process.
- LEADERSHIP: No meeting this week: A video message will be sent out Sunday night with important information and last minute "to dos" before spring break
- When we return from Spring Break, we will begin to discuss Awards Celebrations and what we are celebrating in Spring!

How have you done this week living your B.E.S.T. Life?
1. Do you BELIEVE that our scholars can achieve and grow?
2. Did you bring ELITE levels of ENERGY to your classroomm and hallways every single day this week?
3. Did you learn from your teammates something AMAZING to put in a lesson design or did you learn something amazing from ......maybe our scholars????? How did that impact your work?
4. Did you write someone a note this week to thank them for being AMAZING? Or to thank them for all they do? I wrote at least one thankful / Thank YOU/ You're amazing notes each day this week and I will continue that practice. Getting into classrooms and seeing smiles and writing thank you notes-- without question-- is one of the best parts of my day! You just FEEL GOOD about it!
The challenge continues:
B: Believe
E: Energy
S: Sponge
T: Thankful
What we GET to do outweighs what we HAVE to do: Every Single Day!
"I love ideas! I love it when people give me ideas, even if I don't use 90% of them! I love being in an environment where people want to engage me, where I can walk around the ballpark and think "there's something there"
"
Understanding the buckets and how to WIN at GAPS is our focus! Targets are set!
