Breakfast 2.0. Thank you to all of the staff, maintenance support, and police that supported
these events with their presence and their help with the work to make this a success! We
appreciate the support!
Tech Issues and Attendance
If a student is having technical difficulties and is not able to “get to” class at the beginning of a period block, please contact Paula Davis at 730-5008 or Dave Yeo at 730-5005 and we will be glad to update attendance for the student.
Also, for technical support, please email techsupport@scarboroughschools.org.
If a household is having ongoing connectivity issues, please contact Paula Davis at 730-5008 or Karen Sprague at 730-5002, and we will help determine how we might be able to help.
Parent-Teacher Conferences
The registration portal closes on October 21 at 12 noon.
Conferences will be held by phone. Attached here is a list of all the teachers extensions in their classroom. At your appointment time, please call the teacher for your meeting.
PSAT Testing
On Wednesday, October 14, our sophomores and juniors will be taking the PSAT Exam in the morning at SHS. This is a remote day, so plans are being formulated for our students. There will be more information forthcoming. Students will need #2 pencils.
SHS will provide students with some snacks and drinks, but students can bring their own supply as well. Students should get a good night’s sleep and have a good breakfast before coming to test. Students taking these exams will be exempt from their classes that day.
We are asking parents to do the drop off and pick up if possible to limit bussing needs that day, but if your child is going to need transportation, please fill out this form by October 6.
Breakfast and Lunch Information
Reminder to students and families:
Please place your breakfast order by 6:30 AM if you’d like to pick up breakfast
- Please place your lunch order by 9:00 AM if you’d like to pick up lunch
The School Nutrition Department would like to remind you that there is a Federal Program running from now through the end of December that allows all students to receive free breakfast and lunch daily. You may even sign up for free breakfast and lunch on remote days! When you sign up, the program will tell you where you pick up your meals when remote. To register, go to: https://scarboroughschools.nutrislice.com/m/scarborough-high-school
Upcoming No School Days
There will be no school for students on Friday, October 9, it is a Staff Professional Development Day, and there will be no school on Monday, October 12. It is a holiday to honor National Indigenous Peoples Day.
Student Schedule
Registration and Payments for AP Exams must be received prior to the close of business on Friday November 6, 2020. Adherence to this deadline is critical to the timely processing of all exam orders, and to avoid incurring any late fees. We will again be using the RevTrak Online Payments program to collect and process all AP Exam fees. The link for our RevTrak site is: http://scarborough.revtrak.net/
The cost is $95 per exam. Students who qualify for the Federal Free or Reduced Lunch Program are eligible to receive an AP Exam fee reduction. The total cost for each exam under this provision is $62. Eligible students should see Mr. Soucie, Ms. Murtha, or Mrs. Sutyak in the Student Services Office prior to paying for their exam(s).
For students who have not yet registered for their exams, please work with your AP teacher to do so ASAP. Students who wish to cancel their AP Exam order after the November 6, 2020 deadline will be able to do so for a full refund. The College Board is waiving their exam cancellation fees for the 2020-2021 school year. Students wishing to cancel their exam order should contact Mr. Soucie, Ms. Murtha, or Mrs. Sutyak. Refunds will be issued back to the student directly by Scarborough High School.
Please Note...
If a student at SHS takes a COVID-19 test , results must be provided to the Health Services Staff prior to returning to school or school related activities.
- Please remember to:
- Pre-screen before coming to school
- Wash or sanitize your hands often
- Keep your distance
- Wear you mask properly
Be safe and be well!
