Westmoor Community,

Happy Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 8 - Our moms are our superheroes and biggest supporters, the backbone of our families. They keep everyone together, no matter what the hurdles in life are. But we usually don’t tell them enough, how much they’re appreciated. Now’s the time, on her special day, to tell your mom how much she means to you.

On Tuesday, May 10 at 6:00 pm, our English Language Learners will have an awards celebration in the library with their teachers, administration, and families to recognize their outstanding work and achievements this year.

From our Superintendent, Toni Presta:

This Friday, May 13 at 5:00 pm, the District will host its Golden Centennial Celebration and Educational Staff Housing Ribbon Cutting Ceremony in the courtyard of the new workforce housing building at 705 Serramonte. All JUHSD staff and students, past and present, along with families and community members, are invited to attend this monumental event. Mx P is currently reading Children of the Blood and Bone and has a copy available if you would like to read it as well. She just finished On the Come Up by Angie Thomas and highly recommends it. Also for your reading pleasure, she has put out a banned book--which has won several awards--All Boys Aren't Blue. Come check these books out.
