PARENT CONFERENCES
Communication between the home and school is valuable in creating a learning partnership to support the academic growth of students. Each year, Allen ISD designates a specific window of time for teachers to conduct formal conferences with parents regarding student progress. Traditionally, this is scheduled on campus during the last week of October. This year, elementary teachers will communicate with parents on academic progress through a variety of methods. Communication will occur during an extended period of time from now until mid-November and may include formal conferences, personalized phone calls, or academic reports. As always, if you have specific concerns, you are encouraged to reach out to your child’s teacher.

Email your student's name, grade, homeroom teacher and his/her guess of how many strawberry candies are in the photographed mason jar to bookfair@olsonpta.org. The student who guesses the closest to the actual number, will win the kit, valued at $48!

BE THE ONE...
BE the ONE is an initiative to link Allen ISD schools in their efforts towards Character Education. The goal of BE the ONE is to create positive gains in the value structure of the students, faculty, parents, and community. BE the ONE is a common thread between the schools that will demonstrate to the community of Allen, Texas that Allen schools are working toward a common goal in the areas of Character Development.
We want to encourage you to purchase Be the ONE shirts for your family to spread the message that Olson is strong in supporting Character Education. Together, we can make a difference, but one by one we can show our community how effortless and contagious kindness can be.
