Supporting Jewish Education
Through Jewish education, we are helping the next generation develop and explore their Jewish heritage. There are several challenges that present themselves in Jewish Education that usually stem from financial support. Those challenges come in both formal and informal settings, as it is expensive to make Jewish education accessible to everyone. Jewish education needs to evolve to meet the needs of modern students and learners, especially those in congregational schools. There is a need for qualified teachers who can provide a range of learning styles because children learn in a variety of ways and have different abilities. These challenges are clear and evident issues where funding is lacking, and support is weak.
Because Jewish education helps children create a deeper understanding of Jewish life the support of those initiatives for Jewish day schools, congregational education, and more informal settings is extremely important. Passing on a legacy takes a commitment to nurturing ongoing learning that sparks and encourages the natural curiosity of children and students.
