Mrs. Ridley's 4th Grade
4th Grade news
We had a really busy week with 100's Day, Mardi Gras, NuMinds, and Valentine's Parties. We completed our severe weather reports and presented those on Friday. We have been talking and reading about Harriet Tubman and the Underground Railroad and will finish that up next week.
Our Valentine's Party was so fun a big thank you to the room moms that helped create such a fun time with smoothies, treats, and candy minute to win it games and prizes.
Reading : We will read more about Harriet Tubman and continue with our Literature Circles reading Mr. Popper's Penguins and Emma Jean Lazarus Fell Out of a Tree. We will be reading and writing about some of our past presidents as well.
Math : We will continue with geometric formulas, lines, rays, and shapes.
Social Studies : We will discuss the Alamo and Stephen F. Austin. Will start on historical biographies soon.
Science : We are in the planning stages of studying the human body and the food pyramid.
