This week we are looking forward to celebrating Dr. Seuss week! Today we had lots of fun with crazy hair day and tomorrow we are looking forward to wearing stripes and reading at "Pastries and Parents." If you need more information about our literacy fundraiser, I have attached a link to those papers here.

Thanks for all of your support!

Meadow Brook Reading Round-Up Fundraiser

The school and PTA each hold one fundraiser per year (the PTA's fundraiser this year was the pizza). As a school we will be holding a Reading-Round-Up Fundraiser from February 18th-March 1st to celebrate reading and to raise funds to increase books in our leveled library (which teachers use with their reading groups) and technology programs to enhance student learning. Students will collect pledges for the number of minutes they will read during the week of Feb 24th-March 1st; during this week, several reading activities will be held to get the students excited about reading. See the calendar below for a list of events.

Kindergarten Registration Moving to Summer

This message is for parents who have children entering kindergarten this fall. Please forward this to anyone who needs this information but may not receive this email.

Kindergarten registration, traditionally held in March, will be moved to the summer and combined with grades 1-12. More detailed information regarding summer K-6 registration will be sent out to you before the end of the school year.

Parents can prepare now for registering their kindergarten children by making sure they have a birth certificate and that their child is current on the following immunizations: DTap, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, Polio, Varicella and MMR by the end of July.

We appreciate your help getting the word out. Please contact the office if you have any questions. Thank you.

Have you ordered something & not received it?

If anyone who ordered a shirt, or any other items from the Meadow Brook PTA store, and did not receive them please contact Melanie Bott at or 801.669.0451.
