Description
Cougars are large wildcats. They can be 9 feet long (2.7meters) long. there short, thick fur is tan to light brown. cougars can have markings on there faces!
Habitat
cougars live in North America, Central America, and South America. There homes are in Forests, Mountains, and Deserts.
Diet
Cougars can jump 15 feet ( 4.6 meters ). They can leap on prey such as deer, elk, and rabbits. There powerful jaws bite down hard on the animals necks.

- Cougars can also be called mountain lions.
- A cougars cry sounds like a persons scream.
- Cougars purr like pet cats do.
- About 2,500 cougars live in Washington state.
