Improving Gender Equality
through Education
Why Education?
One way to overcome gender discrimination is through equal education for boys and girls all around the world. Of the 72 million primary school aged children not attending school 54% of those children are young girls, this gap needs to be closed. The only way this can be accomplished is through ending school fees, getting communities invested in women's education, hiring more female teachers, not tolerating violence and discrimination towards girls, and teaching methods that fully enforce gender equality. Not only does education allow women to become equal with men, it also empowers women to take control of their lives and make their own decisions. In 26 countries there are only 90 females in school per every 100 males.
