Scholars began to challenge ideas that had been sat upon them for hundreds of years.

Copernicus
once again a group of scholars question ones belief. in the 1500s Copernicus became intrigued in Greek idea that the sun stood in the center of the universe. However, he did not publish this idea because he knew the clergy and his followers would reject this because it went against there religion.
Galio
Galileo was an Italian scientist. Galileo built his own telescope as a young man to study the havens. Then one year later he published a book called 'scary messenger' that described his amazing observations. His observations and laws of motion were much supporting Copernicus. To make a long story short, Galileo was challenged to court because Galileo defended the ideas of Copernicus. Galileo stood before the court in 1633 were he then agreed that Copernicus's ideas were FALSE.
