A1 Turtles Update
Week 17 - December 18th
We continued to learn about Traditions and winter holidays. The kids were full of joy at our polar express party! The expressions on their faces, when they saw the train tracks and train decoration on our door, was priceless! Please continue to encourage your kids to practice their math facts and read over the winter break. They can make flash cards, play games with numbers or enjoy a math app. I have included the link about our current math topic. We will be starting our math unit on shapes when we return from the break. Thank you so much for all of your support in and out of the classroom. Have a wonderful holiday break with your family!
Polar Express Party
Stay tuned to email for the homework assignments for the week of January 4th. Please have them bring their blue homework bag with their completed homework on Friday each week. It is very important to help your child learn how to be responsible with their homework and be on time.
The week we return will be mitten time. Please have your child bring a new pair of mittens in a bag and write three sentences about why it is important to give. We will be donating these mittens to those in need. The kids did a fabulous job of making thoughtful cards this week. We have sent them to Good Samaratin to be giving to people who are in the hospital over the holidays. Their day is written on their folder. As I talked about on Back to School night, the kids need to be ready to present on their assigned day. If they are sick, they can present when they return. This is a great opportunity for them to gain confidence speaking in front of their peers.
