What is a Tornado?
A tornado is a moveable, destructive vortex of violent rotating winds that have the appearance of a funnel-shaped cloud and an advance beneath, a large storm system.

The science of Tornadoes.
These are caused by unusually violent thunderstorms when there is a sufficient instability and there is a wind shear present in the lower atmosphere. Tornadoes are mostly common in South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado, Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma. A tornado looks like a big gray funnel and it is big at the top and small at the bottom.
