Soccer Results
The Varsity took on top ranked Ryder and surrendered 3 goals in the first half. The Roos came out fighting in the second half with a nice goal off a header from Ebake to Manuel (Big Foot) Mendoza. The Roos played hard, but could not overcome the big deficit and surrendered two goals in the last 5 minutes of the game. Final was 5-1 to undefeated Ryder.
The Roos next action is the JV tournament at home. The Roos take on Cleburne and Aledo at 6:30 and 7:45 on Friday. Come out for our Parker county famous burgers, or pulled pork sandwiches and some great soccer! Go Roos!
Varsity Lady Roos go 2-1 at the Joshua tournament. Only one goal against and 7 scored. JV lady Roos also had a successful weekend playing two varsity matches with no losses in brewer.
Varsity faces FM Marcus Thursday at the Duncanville Memorial Tournament while JV travels to Chisholm Trail. Go Roos!
The Varsity boys Soccer team travels to Brewer and started heating up the stadium with a 1-0 win vs. Eaton Saturday. Ian ( the Rock) San Pedro netted the only goal off a crazy corner kick that pinballed around until he put the ball in the net. Defense had its second shutout in a row.
Up next was powerhouse Byron Nelson for the Championship. Down 1-nil at half the Roos responded with a sensational goal from Ebake (Mr. Hustle) Saidi who assisted Kenny (Corner Pocket) Kienle with a one touch shot to the corner net.
Unfortunately the Roos came up short 2-1 with a late goal from the Bobcats, but still came home with some hardware. Way to go Roos!
