NATIONAL SCHOOL BUS SAFETY WEEK POSTER CONTEST!
There is still time for schools to get involved in this year’s poster contest……
Rules for the 2016 poster contest have been posted on the School Bus Safety Web site. The contest is open to students in grades K-8. More information is available at www.ncbussafety.org/Poster which is also linked from the www.ncbussafety.org home page.
The theme this year is “# STOP ON RED” providing a good opportunity for teachers to discuss this topic as it relates to getting on and off the school bus.
The deadline for submission to the state (through your transportation department) is May 20, 2016.
Last year two North Carolina students won cash prizes as winners at the national competition. Here is a link to the DPI press release announcing this accomplishment: http://www.ncpublicschools.org/newsroom/news/2015-16/20160104-01
