HOLY ROSARY NEWSLETTER
Term 4 Week 6 Friday 19 November
FROM MARK
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We were so pleased to see the huge contingent of visitors on Grandparents Day. We love this day! This was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our school with them. We do so appreciate their interest. The timing of the day was changed in response to the many requests to come for lunch, visit classes and then take their grandchildren home, a change which continues to be well-received.
Our multicultural morning was very very successful and enjoyable. We extend our appreciation to the ‘Moorditj Mob’ from Wesley College indigenous dance group for their fabulous performance and their leadership. Thank you indeed.
Have a great weekend

TRANSITION MORNING
2022 CLASSES
Next Friday is Transition Day!! As is our practise, class lists will go out on Seesaw in the morning at around 9.00, and our children will meet and spend time with their teachers – also in the morning - for 2022. Some of our classes have been changed for 2022 and some have stayed the same. We do this in order to provide our children with opportunities to broaden and deepen friendships. We have some new staff, and former staff, returning next year and we are delighted that they can join us on transition day so our children can get to know them.
Our teachers of the classes which have been changed have taken a lot of time and had many conversations about the lists. It is a big commitment.
Once your child/children return home on the Friday, taking a positive and enthusiastic forward looking approach to 2022 will really be a good move. Teachers always ensure that everyone has friends in their class and while they may not be with all their mates or be best friends with everyone, our teachers do their best to integrate where possible and spend time with friends in other classes. We are lucky to have great children here who are kind, friendly and inclusive. We are all really looking forward to Transition Day and 2022!

St Vincent de Paul Christmas Hampers
Christmas for many of us is a time of happiness and celebration as we gather with our family and friends sharing meals, laughing and chatting as we open presents. However, for people experiencing poverty and disadvantage, Christmas can be a challenging time. The Vinnies Christmas Appeal encourages the community to rethink their priorities at Christmas time by helping to give joy and hope to those who need it most.
We are seeking your support through the donation of non-perishable food items. This will enable us to provide families and individuals who turn to St Vincent de Paul over this period with Christmas hampers so they too can share in the joy of Christmas.
Suggested items:
- Christmas cakes/puddings/cookies/mince pies
- Chocolates/candies/nuts/ snacks/ nibbles
- Christmas stockings for children
- Soft drinks/juices
- Long life milk/cream
- Long life custards (pouring, not powder)
- Tinned ham/fish/fruit/vegetables
- Jams/honey/pickles
- Bon Bons/crackers
- Baby products
No fresh fruits/vegetables. No meats
All items will be collected in each classroom and donated to St Vincent de Paul on Friday
10th December.
