Resurrection-St. Paul School

Encounter Christ's Presence - Year of the Eucharist

April 24, 2022

Dear RSPS Families,

I hope you had a restful and relaxing Easter break.

It's hard to believe that we only have 6 full weeks of the 2021-22 school year left. Spring weather is upon us and there is excitement (and pollen) in the air for everyone. The last month of school is full of field trips, fun events and activities for everyone. I'm a realist and know that it is hard for everyone to focus this time of year -- it's light out later, outdoor sports are back, and grilling season is in full swing. There is a natural tendency for all of us to slow down, relax, and take it easier as the finish line approaches.

Knowing this, I would encourage you to continue with the routines you have set up all year for your children and with their school work. We are so impressed with the academic growth and maturity your children have shown thus far and we want to continue that momentum up to (and through) the summer. As a reminder to all, the last month of school counts the same as the first month and it is just as important.

Finally, you are invited to join us for the State of the School on Monday, May 2nd at 6 PM in the Church. We will be sharing updates on the school, budget, church renovation, and much more. The presentation will be available to view for those who are unable to attend.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We are looking forward to an exciting end of the year!

Refillable Water Bottles Reminder

Please ensure that your child(ren) brings a refillable water bottle with them every day. We are going through ALOT of cups from the dispenser in the health room lately. We are thrilled the kids are hydrating but think we should come up with a more sustainable plan for our budget and our planet.

You may even consider packing an empty one to have as a fillable spare for the days when your child forgets their primary vessel. We of course want to promote healthy hydration (the demand for which will increase as temperatures and activity levels rise) and so will always be happy to provide water cups as needed, but having parents send refillable water bottles to school would overall be a healthier choice.

Thank you for your help with this!
