Kids-4-Kids Game Night Fundraiser
From the Kids-4-Kids Facebook page:
Please join Kids-4-Kids on Friday, June 2nd from 6-8pm in the gym at St. Ann Parish in Stoughton, where we will be hosting a game night to support the Anderson family from Stoughton.
Kaylie Anderson, a thirty-year old mother of two, suffered a miscarriage and battled an infection that resulted in her body going into septic shock. Kaylie had an extended stay in the hospital and two months in a rehab facility building strength and learning how to walk again. She has finally made it home where she continues to work on rebuilding her strength.
As if that wasn’t enough, she and her husband Dan’s two-year old daughter Layla has been awaiting surgery for a brain tumor which is causing significant seizure activity. The surgery to remove the tumor will likely be scheduled for this summer. It had to be postponed when Kaylie’s health took a scary turn. It’s likely Layla will need at least one, maybe two, follow-up surgeries as well. Dan has been on medical leave to help care for Kaylie, Layla and their 6-year-old son, Louis. Dan and Kaylie are high school sweethearts and lifelong residents of Stoughton.
All money raised at this event will go directly to the Anderson family for medical bills and potential future home modifications that accommodate Kaylie’s needs.
Please join us in lifting them up in spirit and in practical ways as the family deals with many ongoing challenges. The event will include lots of games for the kids (and adults!), a DJ, snacks and beverages and a special spot where you can write a heartfelt note to the family.
If you are interested in helping the family before the event takes place, please contact Rachel Langenohl at rachellangenohl@gmail.com.
