While this advice is intended to protect older adults from contracting coronavirus, social distancing itself can be a significant risk to physical and mental health and wellbeing. This webinar will explore the potential impacts of social distancing and social isolation on older adults and begin a conversation about strategies and solutions to overcome these challenges.

Robin Harvey is a lecturer in gerontology at Charles Sturt University. Robin's clinical practice background is as a social worker in the fields of older person’s mental health and health promotion with older adults. Robin is the current Vice-Chair of the AAG Victorian Division.
About the project - Leadership in Healthy Ageing (LIHA)
Aiming to strengthen community capacity in response to the growing aged population of the Ovens-Murray region, the LIHA program encourages participants to become effective “forces for change” by promoting liveable and inclusive communities for older people.
LIHA is a partnership between the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (Charles Sturt University), Department of Health and Human Services Victoria, and the Wangaratta Regional Study Centre.
