Day of the dead is what Mexicans celebrate instead of Halloween. They celebrate and try to remember someone in their family who died. You can use an altar to remember someone, but this is an altar.
what an altar needs?
These are decorations that you can put on an altar so it can look pretty. They also bring the spirit of the person who died in someones family to eat the food that they liked. Someone left the food for them to eat.

Sugar skulls are decorations you can put on an altar.
Flowers
These flowers are marigolds. They bring the spirit to the altar someone made.
candles
Candles also bring the spirit of a person to eat the food someone left for them.
My Grandpa
That is my grandpa in the picture. He loved to eat menudo. He also liked ceso panela, which is fresh cheese.He loved to drink coffee, so in the morning he can get a good morning start and have a good day.
