Weekly Update

Week of April 25, 2022

Our 6th-8th graders will soon be taking the California State Assessments (CAASPP). 8th Graders will be the first to begin with Science testing starting April 25th. All students will take the ELA assessments on May 2nd and 3rd and Math assessments on May 9th and 10th. Our schedule will be adapted on testing days so that students may test after snack break. Please help us by ensuring that your child has a good night's sleep, eats a healthy breakfast, and charges their Chromebook fully each day. You can find more information by visiting the assessment section of our website by clicking this link.

Hoops for Hope

Dartmouth continues its tradition for celebrating community by hosting this year's Hoops for Hope event. Students from the Dartmouth Boy's and Girl's Basketball Teams join together for some exciting competition, fun, and celebration. There will be lots of entertainment for all. The best part is that all proceeds will go toward supporting cancer research. The fun starts at 4:00 pm on Thursday, April 28th. Coach Livingston and his crew of students and coaches look forward to seeing you out there supporting our Eagle Spirit.

Please hear about what's happening throughout our school district on this month's USD School Bell.

Dr. Andrews shares some of our district's highlights this month on her April video message. Please check it out here by clicking Dr. Andrews April Message.

This year's 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony will be held at Leigh High School on Friday, June 3rd at 2:00 pm. The Leigh High School football stadium provides an amazing setting for a prestigious and spacious event. Our 2:00 pm graduation time has been chosen to accommodate our families who will be celebrating a graduating Branham High School student later that afternoon. More information about graduation gowns will be sent home later this month.

Graduating 8th graders will have a celebration event with great food, music, and time to sign yearbooks with friends from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Thursday, June 2nd. The celebration will finish in time to allow families to celebrate graduating seniors at Leigh High School at 5:00 pm.

Graduating 8th Graders are invited to attend Dartmouth's graduation celebration trip to Great America on Friday, May 27th. More info to come...

A Midsummer Night's Dream...Dartmouth Style

Mr. Candeias and his outstanding Shakespearan stars provided the Dartmouth Community with four beautiful performances of A Midsummer Night's Dream. Comedy, fantasy, romance, exquisite acting, and very hip costumes and music made each performance lively and engaging. With Cady Burstein's help, Joe delivered Dartmouth's first theatrical venture since COVID started. By the cheers in the audience and the smiles on the actors' faces, the theater is here to stay at Dartmouth.
