Read Across America Week Update

Read Across America Update! During the week of RAA, in addition to Spirit week for everyone, the teachers participated in Read Across America Bingo. The teachers were given Bingo cards with reading suggestions and were asked to complete any five blocks during the week.

Participating teachers received a book for their classroom library. Pre-K through 3rd grade teachers received the book Extra Yarn. Fourth, Fifth and Sixth grade teachers received the book, Wish Tree and Seventh and Eighth grade teachers received the book, Stargirl. Special area teachers received the book, Grandpa Green.

Then teachers' names were placed in a drawing for a fun mushroom stool. See the attached pictures for a sampling of the fun! Congratulations to Mrs. Vitalia Ascanio's class for winning the Yellow mushroom stool!

Thank you everyone for supporting a culture of literacy at our school! Go Rockets! Thank you so much! From Mrs. Critcher
