Creel Chronicle

December 2020

General SOAR Information

The Creel staff would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. Merriam-Webster's word of the year is pandemic (for obvious reasons). If they had asked an educator, the word of the year is resilience. Parents, as you hustle to do your best to make this year the best you can for your children, just remember, all kids need is a little help, a little hope, and someone who believes in them. We hope you will enjoy this time with your loved ones whether together, apart, or virtually. Tis the year to create new traditions.

Our district Title 1 Parent and Family Engagement resource teachers are hosting a Zoom call for families focused on a healthy holiday season. A flyer for this event is found below and the live link to join follows,

Lost & Found: Every year the school lost and found contains many personal items of clothing that are never claimed. These items are donated to local charities twice a year. To avoid losing your valuable clothing, parents/guardians are asked to clearly label all personal belongings with the child’s name so that lost items may be returned promptly. If your child is missing a sweater, coat, jacket, lunch box, water bottle etc., please have your child check our “Lost and Found” periodically as many items remain unclaimed.
