Students MUST be accompanied by an adult in order to attend Panther football games, and the designated adult must stay in the game with the students they have agreed to supervise for the duration of the event. This is for the safety of all attendees.

The Green School Award Program is designed to enhance environmental education and stewardship in schools. Its mission is to cooperate with government, businesses, schools, civic organizations, and citizens in a joint effort to improve beautification, litter reduction, water quality, and recycling. We reached the Gold level status for all our education, awareness, activism, and programming throughout our school. Sahara Prakash, an RMS 8th grader, was named student of the year for Keep Forsyth County Beautiful. Many thanks to Elizabeth Kennedy, Amy Rainer, and all the staff members who have supported this work.

Congrats to our very own Chris Casey. Chris is the September Teacher of the Month for Forsyth County Schools. We are very grateful and blessed to have Chris as part of our team. Thanks Chris for all you do!

Academic Bowl will be offered this year for 7th and 8th graders. The entrance test will be given on Wednesday 10/28 at 4:45 PM in the cafeteria. Please plan to pick your child up from the test promptly at 5:30PM at the front of the school. 15 7th and 8th grade students will be chosen for our school team based on the highest scores on the entrance exam. The 15 team members will be announced on Friday 10/30. CLICK HERE for a form to register for tryouts.

Builders Club is ready to get started. Builders Club is an international student-led organization providing members with opportunities to perform service, build character, and develop leadership. Builders Club will be held during Flex Time. The schedule will be determined based on the interest level and the number of students. Builders Club is open to all grade level students and for both virtual and in-person students. Click HERE to show your interest and to receive future communications.

RMS is supporting The Place of Forsyth to help families right here in Forsyth County with a meal for Thanksgiving. RMS is collecting the following items through November 6th.

• Gift Cards or checks (payable to The Place) to purchase perishable items.

Collection bins will be located in the Rotunda and one outside the front doors of the school. Monetary gifts may be turned in at the Counseling Office. Thank you in advance for your support and generosity to support those in our backyard that are in need.

The RMS counselors have created this great resource for staff and students on ITS Learning. The course is called: COUNSELOR'S CORNER. In the course, you will find resources for Mindfulness Mondays, Classroom Guidance lessons, On-Line Learning resources, SEL Teacher Resources, and our very own RMS VIRTUAL WELLNESS ROOM!!

We encourage you to explore this page and all our WELLNESS ROOM has to offer. Included in the Wellness Room, are links to some great resources. Some include: Relaxing Music, Breathing Techniques, Yoga Stretches, Positive Affirmations, Suicide Awareness Information, United Way Resources, and a Google Form attached to the telephone for students to reach out to us.

Our teachers and staff have worked extremely long hours trying to keep up with students and procedures for both face-to-face and virtual over the past few weeks. With lots of rapid changes and requests, our teachers and staff NEED to hear how AWESOME and appreciative we are that they are supporting our RMS students.
