Introduction
I'm Xavier Gerardo, if I'm not hitting the school books, then I'm usually at my part time job at Mcdonalds. Most people would describe me as a hard worker, and a loving and caring person. I'm always on time for work and any activity, so that alone can sell me off as a very responsible person.
ENVISION YOURSELF NEAR THE END OF A FULFILLING, LIFELONG CAREER AND YOU JUST PUBLISHED YOUR AUTOBIOGRAPHY SHARE THE TITLE AND INRTODUCTION IN ONE PARAGRAPH.
Ive been in the FBI for four years married to a lovely woman, with one child. I have completed a lot of training to get where I am at now. If it wasn't for my 4 years in college and the NYPD academy I wouldn't have been able to complete my dream of being in the FBI. Unfortunately I'm of the age where the skills that I used to have are no longer good and the rookies that are just now coming into the agency are busting up more cases than me.
IMAGINE BEING ABLE TO JOIN A CONVERSATION BETWEEN TWO PEOPLE, LIVING OR DECEASED. IDENTIFY THE PEOPLE AND TOPIC.
If I were able to join a conversation between two people it would be with my living uncle who is currently the police chief in Ecuador. And the other person shall be my cousin who graduated college with his criminal justice degree. The reason I chose these two people is because they both reached the goals that I want to get to. The conversation would be about how they accomplished there goals and if there were any obstacles along the way that I should look out for when going to college and eventually the NYPD.
DESCRIBE HOW YOU WILL USE YOUR EDUCATION TO ACHIEVE YOUR PERSOANAL AND PROFFESIONAL GOALS.
The college that I will be attending in the fall is St. Johns University and it is ranked top 10 criminal justice programs in the nation. As I complete my four year college career and receive my criminal justice degree, I shall pursue attending a police academy. When it is all said and done I want to join the police force and bring justice to the table the way it should be and protect and serve for the great people of New York. And then someday be able to use my past experiences to train a rookie.
DESCRIBE A SPECIFIC ACCOMPLISHMENT OR EXPRIENCE AND ITS INFLUENCE ON YOU.
My accomplishment that I am most proud of is graduating early and coming into my senior year only needing 2 credits in order to graduate. Most people cant say that, most people have to put all their effort this year or they wont get there diploma. What I am also proud of was being able to participate in Avon athletics, Track, and football. This all influences me to do better in college and to make my family proud by the end of the journey,
EXPLORE A MORAL DILEMA YOU FACED AND HOW YOU DEALT WITH IT.
A moral dilemma that I said I faced and still am facing is leaving my friends and family. At the end of the day I got so used to hanging out with my friends on the weekends and living with my parents. There is so much knowledge that I gained from my parents that I shall never forget. But I suppose those are the rules in life you give birth to a child raise them and teach them your morals so they can go on and do the same with their children. But of course in order for me to stay focused in collge I have to learn how to say no to hanging out with friends on the weekends and saying yes to studying on the weekends.
EVALUATE A RISK YOU HAVE TAKEN, WHAT RESULTED AND WHAT YOU LEARNED FROM THE EXPERIENCE.
A risk that I would say I took was applying for New York colleges and pursuing my career and wanting to live over there. I would say its a risk because at the end of the day it would just be me vs college vs the New York City life. But what I would say that I'm going to learn from this experience is putting all my distractions aside and grinding the time I'm out there to pursue a great career not only for me but for my future family as well.
IF YOU COULD GO BACK AND CHANGE ONE DAY IN YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD YOU CAHNGE AND WHY?
If I were to come back in time and change one thing in my life it would be to have done better in school my first 3 years instead of trying my best this year. I also regret not spending as much time studying than I was playing basketball with my friends. If I would have spent my time studying I could have had more scholarship oppurtunitys instead of me having to worry about paying student loans in the future.
