My Career as a Fashion Designer

Fashion designers create original clothing, accessories, and footwear. They sketch designs, select fabrics and patterns, and give instructions on how to make the products they designed.

Median Salary: $64,530 per year

My job outlook for this job is 0% (Little or no change).

Fashion designing is in the Arts, Audio/Video Technology, and Communications cluster.

My work schedule for fashion designing is full-time or part-time, but mostly all fashion designers work until their deadline is reached.

The work enviroment for fashion designers is in wholesale or manufacturing establishments, apparel companies, retailers, theater or dance companies, and design firms.

What is very interesting about fashion designing is you can use not only new material for making clothes, but old clothes into new ones! That is called upcylcing.

The Art Instatute of Houston is college I wish to attend to for fashion design. It is located in Houston, Texas.

I would like to attend their program, because it is some how close to home, but far enough from home so I can experience the world by myself.

I will need at least a High School Diploma to be a fashion designer, but I plan to go farther in education for Fashion Design, because I want to be very succsessful.

$488 is the cost I pay per hour at my college.

I hope I get a scholership in track, cross country, basketball, or in acedemics.
