At A Glance

Next week we are going to learn about different community helpers, what their jobs are, and what tools they use.

Writing Learning Targets for the Week:

* I can teach more by adding pages to my book.

* I can plan teaching books page by page.

* I can ask and answer questions to add more to my writing.



Reading Learning Targets for the Week:

* I can use the pictures and the words to read.

* I can sound like a teacher when I read a non-fiction all-about-the-world book.

* I can reread stories I have heard multiple times


Ideas for home:

-Practice writing words using all lowercase letters.

-Play sight word games.


Math Learning Targets for the Week:

* I can count to 29 on a calendar.

* I can identify and describe shapes.

* I can write numbers 1-3, in the correct directionality and in the French way.

Daily Parent Communication Reminders:

Bonjour Parents:
  • Thank you for checking your child's yellow folder daily, removing items from the "Keep at Home" side and initialing the box.
  • We will continue to communicate with you about your child's day via behavior chart-- with a sticker note, e-mail, or phone call.
  • If your child gets a sticker or a check, they had a good day!
  • If you have any questions about your child, please contact us and we will be glad to speak or meet with you.

We are encouraging students to do their best with their behavior throughout the the week and rewarding them on Friday with a trip to the treasure box. They are doing a great job!
