Weekly Update

Cluster 1

May 8, 2020

Hello Parents!

We're so proud of the number of students that are taking advantage of the learning opportunities we have been providing. We appreciate both you and your students' effort in completing work and staying connected! If she hasn't already done so, Principal Martin will soon send an email regarding progress reports for all WMS students.

Here are cluster 1's learning targets for next week:

I can understand how the information provided in the Mean Absolute Deviation (MAD) varies in a data distribution.

Social Studies:
I can identify an appropriate claim for my CER.
I can support my claims with logical reasoning and relevant evidence to show that I understand the topic.

I can identify Pangaea as a supercontinent that formed via continental drift 300 million years ago.

I can evaluate evidence from landforms and fossils to prove Pangaea existed.

I can make infer character traits based on the thoughts, words, and actions of charactres in Inside Out and Back Again.
I can cite quotations from Inside Out and Back Again to support my claims.

As always, we're here to serve your students. Let us know if there are ways we can help! Take care of yourselves and your loved ones and always look for the good in the world.
