From the desk of Principal Williams
I hope this newsletter finds you and your family well. I am so proud of our students and staff how they come to school each day and give their best efforts.
We appreciate your partnership with keeping our school safe. Please continue to keep your students home if they are not feeling well and are exhibiting COVID symptoms. See below for more information on how to contact us if you or your student tests positive.
Lastly, Last week I sent our a message which included the link for the Youth Truth Survey. This survey gives me and SRCS valuable information to help guide decision making and streamlined practices to better support you and your students. The survey takes about 10-15 minutes. Please select our school when completing the survey.

With much gratitude,
Mrs. Williams
A Lockdown Drill will take place on January 26th

What do I do if me or my student tests positive?
Pool Testing for COVID-19 on campus
What is pool testing?
With pool testing, nasal swabs from up to 25 asymptomatic students are submitted together for a single PCR test.
Which students are eligible for pool testing?
Any student in grades Kindergarten through 12. Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Preschool classes are not being tested, per the state’s regulations for pool testing participation.
How does pool testing get done in schools?
Students with parent consent will swab their own nose and place the swab in a large tube that holds from 5-25 swabs. If the “pool” of tests returns positive, then the students in the classroom each will be tested using a rapid antigen test so that students with positive results can be sent home to isolate. Other students who may have been exposed in the class, regardless of their vaccination status, as of 1/12/22 may remain in class and should be tested after 3-5 days.
Please fill out the form below for your student.
Make sure to check one box to either opt-in or opt-out of the pool testing.
