Dear Lincoln Families,

It is hard to believe that this is our final newsletter for the 2020-2021! This has been quite the year for us! It has taught us alot about resiliency, flexibility, critical thinking, and problem solving. Thank you for all of your support and grace this year as we have navigated our new normal!

The next couple of weeks are bringing some exciting opportunities for students! Our book fair has continued into next week! Students can purchase books afterschool in the front of the building. On Friday the 21st, we will host our Wellness/Field Day! Please make sure your students come with gym shoes, a water bottle, and sunscreen. Our fabulous music teacher, Mrs. Robertson, is also putting together our talent show for the students for the 26th. Unfortunately, we are unable to have families attend either event. Our last day of school is May 27th at 11:10.

Big picture

Title One

Dear Lincoln Families,

As you know, during remote learning the Thompson School District is operating drive-up meal distribution sites for families to access school meals. See this flyer to learn more about the days and hours of this meal services across the district. Click here to view in Spanish.

Did you know many federal, state and local funding sources for TSD schools are based on the number of students eligible for free or reduced school meals? When you apply for free and reduced meal services, your school is eligible for additional funding that is important to maintain valuable school programs and services for families.

And, in addition to meal benefits, families who qualify for free or reduced meals are also eligible for other benefits, including reduced or waived school fees, technology support and internet access, as well as assistance with costs for a number of school programs like athletics and before/after school extracurricular activities.

If you believe you may be eligible for Free and Reduced School Meals, it is important for you to complete the Nutritional Services application linked here. Staff from the Family/Community Engagement Team would be happy to help you with the application by phone, in an online meeting, or in person at the Family Center at Stansberry.

You can read more about how to qualify for benefits here.
