The Dept of Ed has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to secure information about potential web-based IEP/IFSP systems. There is a 3-part process:
#1 - Request for Information (RFI)
#2 - Request for Proposals (RFP) - based on the information received in the RFI's
#3 - System Development - once a vendor has been chosen
No specific timeline has been established for completion of this process.

Special Ed Procedures Review
The Prior Written Notice (PWN) is one of the most important documents within the IEP. This outlines what was discussed during the meeting including options proposed by either the school or the parents, what decisions were made by the team and why they are making any changes to the IEP.
Suggestions:
- When in doubt, fill it out.
- More information is better.
- Avoid acronyms to ensure parents understand the information.
- Ask your AEA team member to review PWNs for sticky situations.
