Friday Mail
What's Happening Week of October 22, 2018
Thank you so much to Susan Kenney and all of our amazing volunteers for making Grandparent's Day such a HUGE Success. We are blessed to have Bishop McManus preside over Mass and for so much outpouring of love and support from the Grandparents of our students.
Thank you also to everyone that visited the book fair. Our grandparents were very generous and love seeing the grandchildren's eye light up when they went back to class with their brand new books eager to start reading and lose themselves in an adventure. Thank you Mrs. Thomas and all of our volunteers to help make the book fair Awesome and put books in our students hands!
We are entering another very busy season at St. Anna's (Ok, when is it not busy at SAS?). We're looking forward to Halloween, The Red Sox winning the World Series, Catholic Schools Week, Veteran's Day, Design Squad, Thanksgiving and all of our blessed Christmas programs. Please take time to read carefully through Friday Mail so you don't miss anything
This year our teachers are working hard at being the best mom, wife, friend etc. they can be in addition to being AMAZING Teachers for your children everyday. As part of this goal, teachers will not be responding to emails after school hours, unless they are already working. Teachers all need time away from their classrooms to re-charge and come back each day the best for your child. Feel free to email your child's teacher at anytime, but just remember they may not be able to get back to you until the following school day especially if you email after school hours. There are other times that it may take time for a teacher to respond to your email as during the day their focus is teaching your child and they check emails during prep periods and/or after school. Sometimes it may take 24 hours for them to respond to you. If it is important and you haven't heard back from a teacher, please feel free to call the school. Thank you so much for your understanding and support for our teachers.
Spirit Wear
This is a second opportunity to order St. Anna Spirit Wear- this order will not be open for long so get yours in by October 24th if you want to purchase a popular sweatshirt or jacket! They make great Christmas presents too

Talent Show- Line Dancing // All K-8 Students Welcome
A word from Mrs. D-
I would like to invite any kiddo in grades K-8 to participate in a group country (yee haw) line dance as part of our upcoming Talent show. We may not have rhythm, but we all love music! (Yee haw...sorry, those letters keep typing themselves...)
Sessions will begin NEXT Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:00-8:25 (as this will allow me 5 minutes to restart my engines prior to teaching...ho hum) in the gym. This will be a commitment for both parents and kiddos alike as there is quite a bit to learn in a limited amount of time. I would REALLY REALLY TRULY NOT KIDDING NO JOKING THIS IS FOR REAL love and hope to have LOTS of our students join in on the fun...and enjoy the process of guiding all others along the way.
So...I'll be here next Monday Oct. 22, anxiously awaiting the arrival of (yee h...) all who would like to be part of our dancing fun!
Thanks so much for all your support in pushing (oops! I mean...) encouraging your child to join the line...
Fondly,
Someone Wandering Off into the Sunset...Mrs.D./Grade 2 Cowgirl (yee haw...)

Amazon SMILE!!!
Exciting news! St Anna's is on AmazonSmile! Here's how it works:
When you shop online at Amazon; go to smile.amazon.com rather than just plain old amazon and choose "St Anna's Church" as your charity. The AmazonSmile Foundation will donate 0.5% of the price of all eligible purchases to the school. After shopping, you can see how much of your purchase was donated by clicking on the "your AmazonSmile impact" link.
Try it today! You can even change your charity if you've already signed up!
