Dear Ninety-One Community,

I would like to thank Nikki Rodolph and the PTO for leading this year's December events. Also, thank you to all staff, students, and the community for all of your wonderful efforts that are well underway to make this year's event a success! I'm so impressed with how the Ninety-One community comes together.

Please know that it is not too late to contribute items to bless families during the December events, as we still have Thursday and Friday to accept contributions. We are especially in need of items from the Food Drive list.

Friday school spirit days have been a lot of fun. This Friday, December 10 is Blue and Gold Day -- wear your house colors or school colors. Let's see that school spirit! Go Bulldogs!

Please see more information and updates below.

December Events Update

December Events is underway, and we are in the middle of the big week to gather all donations! You still have a chance while doing any holiday shopping to stock up on items to share this week. We are still in need of many items from the Food Drive list below to meet the needs of families. Also, for those looking to volunteer, mark your calendars for Monday, December 13, from 9 a.m. to noon at Zion Mennonite Church, to help wrap presents. If you have any questions, please feel free to call Nikki Rodolph at 503-961-4873.

All Giving Tree tags have been claimed! Thank you for being willing to share during this season. For those participating, please remember to return unwrapped gifts with tags attached by this Friday, December 10.

Winter Weather Prep

Please subscribe to Canby School District on FlashAlert.

As the temperatures continue getting colder, it’s time to start preparing for winter weather and the snow bus routes, school delays, or closures that can come along with it.

When inclement weather strikes, the district will make decisions about school as early as possible – sometimes even the night before, but our goal is by no later than about 5:30 a.m. on the day of the weather event. The message will go out via FlashAlert and will then be reported on most news websites and TV stations.

To make sure you’re set to receive the information, again, please subscribe to Canby School District on FlashAlert. Now is also a good time to update your text preferences online by listing your phone number. For more information, please see our inclement weather page.

Health and Safety Information and Reminders

I want to remind you that face coverings are now optional for students and adults in our district's outdoor school settings and at all outdoor school-related events. This includes recess time. Face coverings continue to be required indoors.

More health and safety information, including guidance on when to keep your child home from school, is attached below. More information specific to our school district is available on our COVID-19 Information page.

YMCA and Canby SD will be offering free after-school enrichment programs tentatively beginning November 8! The after school programs will rotate through the school year at all of our K-6/K-8 schools. This program is scheduled to be on-site at Ninety-One late winter/early spring. Please see link below if interested in these employment opportunities.

YMCA has postings for part-time teachers, after-school instructors and a full-time site director. If you or someone you know would be interested, click HERE for the job postings.

Lost and Found - Coats, Sweatshirts, and more!

Please encourage Ninety-One students to look in the lost and found for coats, sweatshirts and more!
