About the Presentation:
What Do You Mean? Performance task? Formative/Summative? Evidence of Mastery? Let’s look together at Standards Based Assessment and Grading, define the terms, address the challenges, and jump into the work. Participants will have the opportunity to collaborate with peers to begin working on an idea for their classroom.
Outcomes:
As a result of attending , participants will:

- Compare and contrast formative and summative assessments
- Address the challenges and changes
- Practice descriptive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues
About the Presenter:
Lyn Ward Healy has a passion for helping schools and school leaders focus on their mission – helping students achieve!
Lyn has extensive experience in working with school leaders and teachers as a coach and presenter. She worked for five years as the Associate Executive Director of the New England League of Middle Schools and helped schools design and implement their professional development plans. More recently she has been a middle school principal and a district level administrator for curriculum, instruction and professional learning for the Epping, NH School District. Her teaching career began in the elementary level and she spent several years working with “at risk” students in 7th and 8th grades.
Lyn has coached teachers and leaders, and presented on many topics from literacy to advisory to Common Core State Standards implementation and assessment. Lyn was awarded the James Garvin Distinguished Service Award by NELMS in 2013. She holds degrees from Harvard University, University of New Hampshire and Albion College.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation should be made in writing. A full refund will be made for cancellations postmarked, or sent via email, 7 days before the event.
No refunds will be given for requests received after 7 days before the event, or for "no shows". We do accept substitution of another person at our conference. 24 hours of notification is appreciated.
All received registrations are subject to Cancellation/Refund policy. Cost of registration fee is still liable whether payment is paid or unpaid, if no notice of cancellation is received at least 7 days prior to the event.
If minimum requirement enrollment is not met prior to the early registration deadline, the event may be postponed or canceled.
