Term 3 - Week 10, 29th September 2022
Kia ora e te whānau
Wow, what an exciting week we are having. In fact, an exciting two weeks.
Last Friday night our Tutanekai Miniball team played the finals for their grade. It was an exciting, fast paced game with our team playing really well as a team. Westbrook and Glenholme schools were well matched with the action going back and forth to each end of the court. We won the game 6-10. Special thanks to our coach Jaden Wright who did a fantastic job with the team throughout the season.
Straight after the Miniball game a number of our staff members competed in the annual Rotorua School lip sync competition. We also won this event for the first time ever. It was a great night with a huge group of staff members supporting our lip sync team. A special mention needs to go to Donna Burns who put the performance together.
This week an air of excitement has filled the school with our production being underway. Our tamariki and teachers have worked hard all term and this week they have made us so proud with their performances.
The leads and narrators for each performance are outstanding.
Congratulations to:
Group A Lucas Jensen, Nate Gotz, Charlie Curtis, Himanshi Mudaliar and Devon Murray
Group B Lucas Jensen, Kalani Falwasser, Karla Lazaro, Esther Aolele and Ashley Crengle
I take my hat off to Whaea Susan who wrote, produced and directed the entire show. She has put together an amazing show which has an important message which all of us can live by.
On Friday 21st October we have Greats and Grans morning here at school. Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions last year we were unable to have this special day so we are really looking forward to having lots of visitors this year.
I hope that you all have a good holiday break and look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Monday 17th October for Term 4.
