Principal's Message

Hello Families,

We only have three more days of school left! Any items not collected from the Lost and Found by Monday, June 4th will be donated. Please check to see if any items belong to you!

Fifth grade families please plan on bringing your own chairs or blankets for fifth grade promotion on Tuesday. If you bring balloons we will have you tie them to the fence during promotion. Plan ahead for parking as you may not park your car in the red drop off zone or in the Cal Ave parking lot. If our parking lots are full, please park on side streets.

Please spread the word to family and friends. We have openings in the fall in kindergarten, first, fourth and fifth grades. Our post magnet application link is HERE and on our website . Please share on social media and anywhere you have friends with elementary students.

Have a fabulous summer with family and friends. This will be our final Bulldog News for the 22-23 school year. Please check your email in early August for welcome back Bulldog News!

Mark your calendars for the first day of school, August 16th.

Please make sure to read below for additional upcoming dates and events!

Sincerely,

Benjie Walker

Principal

Beginning next school year, breakfast will be available to students before school from 7:30-7:50 AM. Second Chance breakfast will no longer be offered during first recess. School Bell Schedule Changes for All Schools in 2023-24

The Vista Unified School District just recently completed the approval process for new contracts with our collective bargaining associations. One outcome of this process is the elimination of the late start and early release schedules for students at all grade levels - elementary, middle, and high schools. Teachers and staff will continue to have opportunities for collaboration with their colleagues; however, it will no longer impact students and families on Mondays. In other words, students will no longer have early release for elementary and late start Mondays at the middle and high school level beginning the first day of the 2023-24 school year. We will be publishing the new bell schedules for all schools prior to July 1, 2023. We will also add these bell schedules to the new website for future reference.
