Connected...
Social Distancing does not mean Emotional Distancing
THANK YOU....
At times like these, human connection has never been more important as we long for human connectedness. We have worked to be patient so we avoid becoming a patient.
Thank you for what you have done already to weather this crisis and to get our University, city, county, Commonwealth, and country prepared to cope with this situation. Your continued commitment, hope, and efforts to connect emotionally in non-traditional ways with others during this time make all the difference. We have been and always will be resilient as we have seen, mastered and weathered other challenging moments--and we have to be convinced that we will overcome this one too. Engage your resilience by sharing your feedback, concerns, and questions when you respond to the Pulse Survey.
Your personal caring and help can make a lot of difference to our colleagues and their families--remember, social distancing does not mean emotional distancing. In addition to calling co-workers and family to check on them, review this article for other suggestions on how to connect emotionally when physically socially distancing is necessary.
Stay safe. Take care to remain well. We are all eager to soon see each other in person.
