April 13th and beyond!
Don't worry, I haven't forgotten about my math kiddos. While we (Mr. Hart, Mrs. Gleason, and I) have been managing our homeroom kids, we have kept our eyes on how our math kids are doing with iReady.
Beginning April 13th, I will continue with our EDM math instruction. Please know this won't be like a regular day in the classroom. I will be hitting target skills, providing practice, and a little bit homework. Overall, the goal is not to exceed 25 minutes of work. Though, the kids will be expected to complete 45 minutes of math iReady a week which is above and beyond the 25 minutes of class work.
There will be extra sites and problem solving opportunities for kids who are interested.
At this point, I do know that I will be starting on 4/13 with the last lesson in Unit 6. From there we will do some unit 6 review and then have some sort of assessment. Most likely in a multiple choice format.
I have been experimenting with the EDM materials. I can pull those pdfs into Schoology and use Kami so the kids can write directly on the screen and then submit to me. It's kind of exciting! I do know that writing on the screen with fingers can be a challenge. I am going to put the name of an Amazon stylus below that I know works on Lenovo chromebooks because I bought one myself. If you have styluses around the house, check them out and see if they work! A stylus is not mandatory, it just makes life easier.

I know that my homeroom kids and Mrs. Gleason's kids know how to access their gmail. Mr. Hart's kids may need some assistance.
After the kids are logged into their chromebooks, they should press the key with the magnifying lens that is just above the shift key. There they will find the gmail app. It's super easy to get into!
