Welcome to ENG 250
Research and Writing II
Course Description
This course builds on the research and writing skills developed in the previous English course. Students make critical decisions about the research necessary to produce diverse writings appropriate in content, format, and documentation. Using their research, students produce documents that will positively affect varied audiences.
Why English Matters
I get a lot of "this class has no real-world application." Guess what, if you interact with people AT ALL, either through face-to-face communication, phone calls, text messages, social media, email, or snail mail, then this class is for you! This course is designed to elevate your communication skills and make you marketable.

Tips and Hints
Make sure that you check out all of the documents in the Introductory Documents section. This includes your syllabus, as well as important due dates. It also contains rubrics for your discussions and rubrics to show you how I will grade those. Additionally, each week will contain the relevant rubric for each weekly assignment.
Finally, please make sure that you participate in the discussions. You can really learn a lot and help each other throughout the class!
