Granville Academy K-5 & 6-8 Family Support/Outreach Groups
K-5 & 6-8 Granville Academy families:
There are two Facebook groups that are set up for GA Pirates and families in grades K-5 & 6-8 (as parents and students) to come together and get to know each other better. The idea behind the pages is to have somewhere to go for support (help with assignments that may be confusing) or to plan a fun outing with the group ("Hey, anyone want to go to the park and have lunch this Friday?").
Please note the pages are set up to protect the privacy of students & families. Only GA Pirates are allowed to join. Please search for the groups on Facebook!
We are looking forward to getting to know our GA Pirates!

Weekly Message from the MS Teachers:
I have attached the checklists for the week, and they have also been posted on Google Classroom for students.
There is Science Olympiad practice this week at both locations on Tuesday (Mary Potter) and Wednesday (Tar River) until 2:30pm. Students need to bring all materials needed for them to work on their events. I will be sending a letter home with students with Science Olympiad dates and expectations. These letters will need to be signed and returned to me ASAP.
Students can stay after school this week on Tuesday (Mary Potter) and Wednesday (Tar River) until 3pm for tutoring, extra help, or a quiet place to work.
We still have some students who have not returned their signed Student Code of Conduct. This was sent home a few weeks ago and was supposed to be read over and discussed by parents/guardians and their students. It was a large yellow book. Please read, sign, and return this ASAP.
If you were unable to attend a parent conference with us, we will be sending your student's report card home with them this week. Please remember that our grades are cumulative and that report cards are essentially another progress report of where your student's grades were at that point in time.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
