We need our Manor Senior High School scholars present in all of their classes, on time everyday. Our teachers miss their beautiful faces, and work extremely hard to prepare high quality lessons for them, that are conducive to high student achievement. Their success is our success! The Lady Mustangs placed 3rd in the 4x200m relay, and got 1st and were the 4x400m relay 2022 PV Relays Champions. The 4x2 and 4x400m relays were ran by Mariya Hamlin, Busayo Showemimo, Zearra Milburn, and Kierra Ferguson. The 4x100m relays were ran by Kahla Smith, Victoria Jeffery, Shamya Smith, and Kierra Ferguson. Kiara Smith also competed in both hurdle events and Sa'Naiyah Butler threw shot put and discus. Please congratulate these ladies on their success and the hard work they have put in.

The mandatory tutoring required for students under House Bill 4545 states that students are to be in a group of no more than three students per one tutor. Manor ISD is asking you to provide permission for your student to receive tutoring in a group that is larger than three students. MISD is limited in providing sessions smaller than three students during the school day due to limited staffing. Please submit a separate survey for each scholar enrolled in grades 4-12.

La tutoría obligatoria requerida para los alumnos bajo el Proyecto de Ley 4545 de la Cámara de Representantes establece que los alumnos deben estar en un grupo de no más de tres alumnos por un tutor. Manor ISD le está pidiendo que proporcione permiso para que su alumno reciba tutoría en un grupo que es mayor que tres alumnos. For the safety of all students, we have made a few changes to our restroom procedures. At MSHS, restroom doors will be locked during lunch, all transitions, and during the first and last ten minutes of class. Only one floor will have an open restroom per period, in which that particular restroom will be monitored by a team member. Thank you for your understanding. Thank you for all that you do!

La adolescencia es un periodo de desarrollo y cambio significativo. En este taller, cuidadores aprenderán acerca de estresantes comunes en esta etapa de desarrollo, señales típicas del estrés, y obtendrán herramientas en cómo ayudar a los adolescentes navegar estos cambios difíciles.

Dress Code Expectations:

• No rips or holes in clothing showing skin.
• No midriff shirts/blouses or bare shoulders.
• No sagging pants (pockets of pants should be on the buttocks).
• No short shorts or skirts (cannot be more than 6 inches from knee).
• No see-through clothing or revealing necklines.
• No tube tops or spaghetti straps.
• No caps, hoodies, beanie, bandannas, sunglasses.
• No flip-flops, house slippers, or slides (shoes must have back support).
• No clothing with sexual content, drugs, alcohol or tobacco.
• Leggings, jeggings and yoga pants/shorts alone are not acceptable.
• Students out of dress code will be provided with borrowed clothes to change into and a call to parents will be made.

Closed Campus

• Students are NOT permitted to leave the campus for lunch.
• No outside food/drinks allowed during school hours unless approved by an Administrator.
• Only vehicles with a valid MSHS or MISD parking permit are authorized to park at MSHS.
• Vehicles not registered with the school, will be towed at the vehicle owner’s expense.
• Student drivers must provide a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance to purchase a parking permit.
• Parking Permits must be displayed while on school campus.
• Student drivers are not permitted to drive other students unless a permission form is on file.
• Student drivers are only allowed to leave for a scheduled class at MHS, ACC or early release.
• Students leaving campus are required to sign in/sign out at the front office.
• ALL student drivers must follow safe driving rules on Manor ISD Campus Grounds. No speeding, racing or loud music.

• At Manor Senior High School, we practice common decency. Students are expected to have respect for themselves and others at MSHS and at district events and facilities.
• The use of foul-vulgar language is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
• Students are to keep their hands to themselves.
• Maintain personal space in the hallways and classrooms
• MISD has a zero tolerance for fighting on campus
• MISD has a zero tolerance for bullying (this includes cyberbullying on social media).

Consequences

• 2nd Violation - Referral to Guidance Counselor

Attendance

• Attendance matters – Everyone must be in school to be counted present! If students are not in attendance at school everyday, they will miss quality instruction, which will impact their ability to graduate on time. Parents/Guardians of students with excessive absences will be contacted for a meeting to resolve this area of concern.
