$15,000 Grant Awarded to Middle School Library
Vanessa DiCianna, our Middle School Librarian, has been chosen to receive a $15,000 grant from the EIO Fund for our Technology Program at Charleroi – Cougar Literacy Café Project.
Representatives from the Washington County Community Foundation will be at the Charleroi Middle School Library on Thursday, January 14 to deliver the grant check along with a member of their Board of Trustees and take a photograph or two for upcoming newsletters.

$1000 Grant Awarded to our SADD Club
Lexi Weber , a junior at Charleroi, submitted successfully submitted an essay to Cricket Wireless for a $1000 grant for our SADD club. Miss Fritch is the advisor of the club. Her essay was about SADD and all of the positive activities they have participated in throughout the community. The club has $1000.00 to use towards their mission.
Cricket officials were on campus this week to announce the award. Chris Buckley, from the Tribune Review, will be writing an article about this great accomplishment.
Giving Back
The Charleroi High School Interact and Mad4Giving clubs are happy to announce that they were able to donate several bins of toys to students in Charleroi School District.
In addition, they collected $715 which will be used to buy additional Christmas items for students and families in our district.
It truly is the season for giving and we thank Ms. Fritch, club sponsor and all of our students for their participation in this great event.
