What Happens When AT and UDL Collide?
Description:
Sometimes educators and families become confused about the relationship between assistive technology (AT) and universal design for learning (UDL). In this inspiring keynote address, Dr. Edyburn will examine the roles and responsibilities associated with implementing accessible inclusive instruction in schools. Participants are asked to bring their own device (BYOD) in order to access the digital resources he will provide that will expand their professional toolkit and share ready-to-use tools with students, parents, and teachers.

Why Primary Service Provider Teaming is Really Worth All the Work: The Ins & Outs, Ups & Downs, and Ah-Has & Uh-Ohs!
Description:
This interactive session is designed for individuals who are using OR considering using a primary service provider teaming approach. This presentation is designed to tackle tough issues that programs often face when considering moving to a team-based approach in early childhood intervention using a primary service provider approach. The session discussion will be based on specific topics of interest of the participants.
Common topics include, but are not limited to:
identifying teams;
selecting the primary service provider;
conducting effective team meetings;
implementing joint visits;
discussing options in chronically under-resourced areas (e.g., we don't have an OT!);
helping families and referral sources to understand the approach...AND MORE!
