PD Opportunity with EQ Credit
There are a couple of teachers who use Seesaw religiously at Caprock Elementary and their families love it. They are doing a training for their staff. Principal Amy Erb wanted me to let you know that if you are interested in learning more about it you are welcome to attend their training. It’s on March 20 from 4:00 – 5:00 in the Caprock library. I am putting the link below in case you are interested in signing up. You will earn 1 hour of EQ time!

Seesaw is a student-driven digital portfolio. Teachers can empower students to create, reflect, share, and collaborate. Students “show what they know” using photos, videos, drawings, text, PDFs, and links. It’s simple to get student work in one place and share with parents, and nothing is shared without teacher approval. Here is a video with more information about it.

Digital Citizenship Week
Although the district is not requiring teachers to deliver student lessons this year, the hope is you will begin to embed these teachable moments throughout your lessons. Look up student lessons by following the KISD Digital Citizenship Canvas class at https://kellerisd.instructure.com/courses/82075. You are encouraged to explore the provided resources found on the student Canvas pages. The hope is to have VESTED student lessons available to you by Digital Citizenship Week 2018-2019.
