Stay tuned for additional details coming soon. | Gananda Youth Triathlon Set for May 11, 2019 Gananda's Spring Fling Youth Triathlon is back for 2019! After a year hiatus due to construction, we are excited to bring back this special athletic event for our local youth on Saturday, May 11. The triathlon consists of swimming, biking, and running events where racers can compete individually or as part of a relay team. All students, from any school district, in grades 3-12 are invited to participate. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, May 1, 2019. Please visit the Gananda website for more information. Volunteers are needed too! If you are interested in volunteering, please email Staci Harrison. | Girls Lacrosse Can Drive April 27 Wondering what to do with all those bottles and cans? You can put them on your doorstep or driveway this Saturday, April 27. The girls lacrosse team is coming around to collect them from 9-11am. You can also drop them at the elementary school during that time. Thank you for supporting our sports teams!! |

#OutstandingCongratulations to Gananda alumna Tina Zanino for winning the Golden Apple Award. The Golden Apple was presented to Tina by News Channel WROC. The award is given for excellence in teaching. Tina is a Gananda Class of 2008 graduate and is now an ELA teacher at Williamson Middle School. | #Respect Gananda Garden Club members hosted an awareness activity where students guessed the number of plastic bags that would’ve been thrown out if they weren’t made into this giant basket. There were a total of 221 bags in the basket! | #Outstanding The Wayne Technical and Career Center hosted 294 students for its annual eighth grade middle school skills competition on April 11. Three of our middle school students placed in their division. Bryan Espinal placed 2nd in carpentry, Hayden Jenkins placed third in heavy metal (machining) and Brooke Litteer took second place in health dimensions. |
