WEEK ONE: CHECK! and...AWESOME!
Thank you ALL for getting the school year off to an amazing start. Smiling children have been seen in every room because activities have been engaging, authentic and meaningful. STEAM activities have taken the stage as some have made and launched rockets, spaghetti towers, tested homemade paper airplanes and all created traps for gingerbread men! Small group math has been observed in our youngest grades and relationships are being formed. We have many new children and you all are stepping up to the plate to make positive relationships and start the year off in the right direction! Thanks to those of you who have made those initial positive phone calls to say hello and develop those parent relationships as well. Parents really appreciate hearing from you and feeling comforted that you are on the same team and their children are in good hands!
Fifth grade teachers, a special kudo to all of you for your work, preparation, and planning for the trip to the Oceana Air Show! This is quite an endeavor for the first week of school and you all have stayed calm and have the best attitudes ever. The kids are going to love it. It's a hot, long, day with us returning at 5:30 ish at the end of the first week of school. Thank you!
Enjoy the weekend everyone and rest up for the first 5-day week! This has been the best beginning of a year I have experienced, thanks to all of you and your amazing hearts and talents.
#DEY ROCKS!
