I know....summer isn't over yet, but August is just around the corner. I am looking forward to another great year at Barry School. Jeff and I have been busy planning for the new year and we are excited for our students and staff to learn, to grow, and to lead.

Barry Staff Hours
As a reminder, our hours this year have changed. School will begin at 7:40 and end at 2:50. Breakfast will tentatively begin at 7:25 and end at 7:40. Teachers will need to be ready to monitor hallways and be at their supervision assignment at 7:25. Teachers will be able to leave the building at 2:55. (7.5 hour day)
Sub Folders
Chelsea will be putting sub binders in your mailboxes soon. She will also print school maps, attendance slips, and a phone extension list for you to include in the sub binder. A gold handout will also be in your mailbox. This sheet needs to be added to the front of your sub binder. Every teacher will be required to prepare a sub binder. Please follow the checklist, which will be provided, when organizing your sub binder. All binders are due to Chelsea by Friday, August 17th. If you have any questions, please talk to Chelsea.
JOIN PTSA!
PTSA will provide breakfast at 8:00 on Monday, August 13th in the Barry Commons. PTSA plans so many fun events for our students and staff including dances, fun Fridays, conference meals and staff appreciation week. You will have the opportunity to join PTSA on August 13th. PTSA's goal is 100% staff participation.
A Big Thank You To Honda of Tiffany Springs!
Our school was chosen by Honda of Tiffany Springs to receive a generous donation of school supplies, socks, underwear, personal hygiene products, and gift cards. Many of our students will benefit from this unbelievable act of kindness. Please contact Stephanie Richison or Becky Brandt if you notice any of your students needing these donated items.
Reminders
- All furniture moves/reallocation need to be emailed to Jeff. Jeff will then facilitate this process and collaborate with the custodial staff to approve or deny. With that being said, if you would like to make a change from desks to tables, please email Jeff ASAP. FYI....we are running low on tables.
- As you begin to unpack classroom orders, please make sure you give packing slips to Kristy.
- Update your class website.
- If you have any technology issues, please put in a work order. (Jeff or M.B. can help you, just ask)
