Paid and Volunteer Positions for Undergraduate Students
The UA Cooperative Extension’s Family Engagement Program offers parenting classes and as part of it, we provide child care. We are currently looking for some student workers to help with child care. This particular program is for parents of children with autism so the kids are a mix of autistic children and their siblings. The classes aren’t located on campus so students would need to have transportation.
We are looking for one or two student child care providers for our Monday night autism parenting class at Valencia Library for the following dates and times:
Monday, May 6th 5pm-8pm
Monday, May 13th 5pm-8pm
Monday, May 20th 5pm-8pm
(No class on memorial day)
Monday, June 3rd 5pm-8pm
Monday, June 10th 5pm-8pm
If you are interested in getting paid or volunteering for this position, email Diane Manzini at dianem1@email.arizona.edu or give her a call at 520-621-0921.

Research Assistants Needed
The Cognitive Neuroscience of Language Laboratory (https://neurolang.lab.arizona.edu/) is seeking 4-5 undergraduate students who would like to gain research experiences through independent study or directed research credits starting in Fall 2019.
Our lab uses brain-based methods to study the comprehension of non-literal language (e.g. metaphor, irony, idiom), metaphor and learning, and emotional language. From your involvement, you will primarily gain hands-on experience with brainwave (EEG or encephalogram) data acquisition and potentially data analysis. In addition, you may be tasked with creating stimuli, coding data, or/and running behavioral studies. You will also need to interact with the lab team and with study participants professionally. You will be trained and supervised jointly by the graduate students in the lab and Dr. Lai.
We ask for a minimum commitment of two semesters, with the opportunity to work on your own research project at the end of training. Preferences will be given to people who have good organizational & communication skills, attention to detail, a responsible, dependable, and self-accountable attitude. Experiences with neuroscience methods would be great but not a must.
If you are interested, please apply here https://neurolang.lab.arizona.edu/node/13.
