Life School campuses and offices will be closed Monday, January 16th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.
“The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character–that is the goal of true education.” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.
Life School honors the memory and philosophy of Dr. King by integrating character lessons into our curriculum. The LifeLeader program teaches students 15 character attributes that combine quality education with essential life skills training.

Parent Portal
As the new year kicks off, it is a great time to establish goals with your child for the remainder of the school year. One way to support your child’s academic success is by setting up alerts for grades and attendance notifications in the Parent Portal.
You can automatically be notified when your student receives high or low scores on tests and assignments. You can also receive notifications about any absences your child may have.
If you have not set up your Parent Portal account, click here to view the “Creating Your Parent Portal Account” video.
Once you have created your account, please view the “Using Your Parent Portal Account” video to learn more about using this tool to support your child and communicate with teachers.
Academic Interventions and Student Support
The new year and new semester is a great time for teachers to assess their students’ academic progress. As we returned from winter break, teachers and staff reviewed fall benchmarks to identify academic mastery and growth opportunities for individual students.
Life School provides highly individualized plans for students that maximize their opportunity to succeed. Every campus has a team of teachers, curriculum coordinators and instructional coaches that collaborate regularly to develop personalized interventions to help each student achieve academic growth.
The 4-day school week beginning in the 2023-2024 school year will allow for additional tutoring and accelerated learning opportunities on 3 out of 4 Fridays at various campuses.
Life School Safety Audits
All Life School campuses continue to work diligently to ensure safety measures are followed daily. Recently, another Life School campus was randomly selected for an unannounced safety audit by state administrators. Gov. Greg Abbott mandated the audits across the State on June 1, just days after the tragedy in Uvalde. The campus selected for the random audit passed with no findings and no issues reported. Thank you for helping us continue to follow safety protocols and keep our campuses safe!
Raptor Alert
As of January 5th, Raptor Alert is now live on all Life School campuses. An enhanced security measure, Raptor Alert works on all Life School devices. Raptor Alert expedites and streamlines emergency response by allowing users to initiate an emergency call directly through 911 and provide critical information to first responders, law enforcement, and campus personnel, ensuring that authorities can respond and address emergencies on campus immediately.
